CNC, Plasma and Laser Machine Operator

Our partner is a steel structures manufacturer in Gliwice, Śląskie, Poland, running a modern and well-invested machine park. This role suits an experienced operator who wants industrial-scale metalwork with pay tied directly to output.

Recruitment and employment are handled through a licensed Polish staffing company (agencja pracy) that is an official partner of Akay Program.

Important note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship from Vietnam. It is open only to candidates already legally resident in Poland. Under the rules in force since 1 June 2025, a visa issued by another Schengen country does not entitle the holder to work in Poland, even where a work permit is held.

Scope of work

• Operating CNC cutting machines within a steel fabrication line.
• Operating the press brake (krawędziarka) to drawing and to required tolerances.
• Operating plasma and laser cutting machines.
• Setting machine parameters, loading material, monitoring cuts and resolving common faults.
• Checking dimensions and quality of finished parts.
• Keeping machines and the work area clean, safe and compliant with plant rules.

Candidate requirements

• Hands-on experience operating the machines listed above is mandatory. The plant does not train from zero for this role.
• An overhead crane licence (uprawnienia na suwnice) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to read technical drawings is an advantage.
• A high degree of independence and ownership of your own quality.
• Physically fit for factory work and able to pass the occupational medical examination.
• Legally resident in Poland, holding a valid passport and valid residence documentation.
• Willing to work a three-shift rota and overtime when the plant requires it.
• No Polish or English language requirement for this role.

Pay and working hours

• Pay is hourly, net, and tied to measured performance: 29 PLN/hour below 90%, 32 PLN/hour at 90 to 100%, and 33 PLN/hour above 100%.
• Monthly earnings depend on hours actually worked. On a standard three-shift pattern of about 176 hours a month, this comes to roughly 5,100 to 5,800 PLN net. With overtime and Saturdays taking hours to around 230, earnings can reach 6,670 to 7,590 PLN net.
• The only accommodation-related deduction is the 11 PLN daily utilities charge, and that is waived once performance reaches 100%.

• Modern equipment: The plant runs a newly invested machine park, which suits operators who want to build skills on good kit.
• Room to earn more: Overtime is available. Independent, high-performing workers are offered Saturday shifts.
• Medical and PPE: Free occupational health check before starting, paid by the company. Work clothing supplied.
• Contract: Service contract (umowa zlecenie) with full ZUS social insurance and PIT income tax.
• Work permit: Filed and paid for by the employer of record.
