MIG/MAG Welder – Industrial Fan Manufacturing
Our partner manufactures industrial fans and ventilation units in Gliwice, Śląskie, Poland. The role suits a welder already confident in MIG/MAG work, in a steady production environment with a scheduled annual pay review.
Recruitment and employment are handled through a licensed Polish staffing company (agencja pracy) that is an official partner of Akay Program.
Important note: This position does not offer visa sponsorship from Vietnam. It is open only to candidates already legally resident in Poland. Under the rules in force since 1 June 2025, a visa issued by another Schengen country does not entitle the holder to work in Poland, even where a work permit is held.
Scope of work
- Welding industrial fan components and structures using MIG 135 or MAG 135.
- Reading and working to basic technical drawings.
- Selecting and adjusting welding parameters to suit the material and the joint.
- Preparing material and surfaces before welding.
- Checking weld quality and correcting defects.
- Keeping the work area and welding equipment to safety standard.
Candidate requirements
- Proven experience welding with MIG 135 or MAG 135 is required.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings is required.
- A good feel for welding parameters and the ability to work independently. This is a requirement, not a nice-to-have.
- Physically fit for factory work and able to pass the occupational medical examination.
- Legally resident in Poland, holding a valid passport and valid residence documentation (residence card, or written confirmation of a pending application).
- Willing to work shifts and overtime when the plant requires it.
- No Polish or English language requirement for this role.
Pay and working hours
- Pay is hourly, net, and tied to measured performance: 29 PLN/hour below 90%, 30 PLN/hour at 90 to 100%, and 31 PLN/hour above 100%.
- The plant runs a pay increase each January.
- You start on a single fixed shift, 06:00 to 14:00, equal to roughly 176 hours a month. Overtime is available, and independent high performers are offered Saturdays, taking total hours to around 220 a month.
- The only accommodation-related deduction is the 11 PLN daily utilities charge, waived once performance reaches 100%.

- Room to earn more: Overtime is available. Independent, high-performing workers are offered Saturday shifts.
- Medical examination: Free occupational health check before starting, paid by the company.
- Contract: Service contract (umowa zlecenie) with full ZUS social insurance and PIT income tax.
- Work permit: Filed and paid for by the employer of record.
